Mylar lamination and liquid lamination are two different methods of applying a protective coating to a Decal. Here's a breakdown of the differences between the two:
Material: Mylar lamination involves the use of a polyester film called Mylar, which is a type of plastic. On the other hand, liquid lamination refers to the application of a liquid coating.
Application Process: Mylar lamination is a dry process where the Mylar film is applied to the surface using pressure. Liquid lamination, as the name suggests, involves applying a liquid coating using roller application. The liquid is spread evenly across the surface and dries under UV light, forming a protective layer.
Appearance and Texture: Mylar lamination creates a clear, glossy finish that enhances the appearance of the surface. It also adds a smooth texture to the surface. Liquid lamination also provides a very glossy surface which has shown to enhance the colors more than mylar film.
Flexibility and Durability: Mylar lamination provides a rigid and durable protective layer. It offers excellent resistance to moisture, tearing, and abrasion. However, it may not be as flexible as liquid lamination. Liquid lamination also provides a very durable protectrive layer against UV exposure, moisture and abrasions.
Both mylar lamination and liquid lamination have their own advantages and are suitable for different purposes. The choice between the two depends on factors such as the desired appearance, flexibility requirements, durability needs, and the specific application. Liquid lamination is more cost effective, seeing a reduction in cost by up to 10%, which makes it a great option for promotional decals.

Thinner Product
PIs thinner really better? In some cases yes, because the decal blends into the surface making it look like part of the product rather than a decal applied. A thin decal also lessen the risk of dirt and debris getting stuck to the edges.
Price Reduction
Yes, you are seeing that right! On average we are seeing a 10-15% price reduction when compared to traditional 1mil mylar lamination. That means more money in your pocket while still achieving your marketing needs.
Brighter Colors
When liquid lamination is used, we’re seeing a 10% increase in color shine. Blacks are richer and color just seem to POP
